Luke's 5th Birthday Party Olympics

TWIGGY!

Several months ago, we found out that Twiggy the water skiing squirrel was coming to Waco.  We just had to go check it out!

Twiggy really is a squirrel that water skis, and guess who got picked out of the whole crowd to be the special volunteer?

Luke got to pet Twiggy, pick how many laps Twiggy would ski around the pool, and hold him after the show.  He even got an autographed Twiggy poster!

Kindergarten Roundup and More Field Trips

Luke has been asking about when he gets to be in a certain teacher's Kindergarten class at Spring Valley for awhile now.  A couple of weeks we got him all signed up!  Luke is clearly the third kid.  We didn't put on a fancy outfit, and he barely had his hair combed.  But, he wore his normal Baylor gear, and he looked so cute shyly walking through the big Spring Valley halls!

Abby got to go on fun field trip to the Waco Mammoth site. 

The field trip was great, but the best part was going to lunch and going shopping with Abby's friend Addison afterwards!

Mother's Day

Being a mom is the best!  I feel so thankful for each of my kids and for Jon!  For Mother's Day my crew got me hot tamales and a new water bottle that I had on my wishlist.  As time goes on, I am more and more proud and thankful for my family!

I also got to celebrate at a Mother's Day Brunch with Luke.  I have done this with all three of my kids, and it is so memorable!  I may have gotten a little teary at this milestone this year.

Milestones

After five years our family has just two days left of preschool dropoffs.  I will always cherish the memories of this time in our lives.  Luke has been so cute getting out of the car this year.  He puts his huge backpack on his back and hugs his napmat on his front.  Then he waits for our car to pull up to a teacher in the carline.  For some reason, he has always been very concerned about being ready when we pull up.  I drive up to the teacher and press the button to open the door, and Luke seems to fall out every single time.  It makes me and the teacher who is standing there smile every day.  I love that he looks so little with his big backpack and napmat!  He is small and determined!

Luke also has his last baseball game tonight.  We've had a fun season with several friends on our team!
