Baylor Football 2014
Baylor Football is all the rage in Waco this year. We have a new football stadium, and the team is ranked 10th in the nation. This is big when you think back and remember all of the games that we attended from 1998-2008. I will just say that there were not many wins in those years. Having Jon as a part of the athletic department makes it all that much more exciting. Last night was the first game in the new and amazing McLane Stadium. The fun night included dinner in the Letterman's Lounge, appearances from George W. and Laura Bush and RG3, a very animated sold out crowd, lollipops, lots of heat, snow cones, a blow out win for the bears, and a walk to the car carrying a melting down three year old! We had fun celebrating this special day in Baylor history!
School 2014-2015
School is now in full swing for all of our three! Here are the pictures from each of their first days!
Caleb is in Mrs. Morgan's Second grade class. He has several friends in the class and seems to have adjusted to school quickly this year! Caleb says that he is most excited about getting to ride the bus to a different school every Thursday for a pull-out program that he will be participating in this year.
Abby is in Mrs. Chapman's Kindergarten class. She actually knows several kids in her class. Sending this sweet second child off to Kinder has been a lot easier for me than it was to send Caleb. I think that is because she is super excited to go and because I have made a lot of Spring Valley friends over the past two years. I am looking forward to seeing who Abby connects with this year. Abby says that her favorite part of school so far has been meeting her teacher and their class's unit on the Gingerbread Man stories.
Luke is in three year preschool this year. His teachers are Mrs. Mosley and Mrs. Howard, and he goes two days a week. Luke's favorite part of school is playing cars. He is also happy to report that he did not have to sit in Mr. Frownie Chair in the first two weeks of school!

During Luke's preschool time, I am going to be doing some tutoring at Bell's Hill, which is the school I taught at before having kids. I am excited about this opportunity to inch myself back in education.
Last of all here is a picture of what Luke has been up to while Abby and Caleb are in school 7 hours a day. He is loving all of the alone playtime with me!
