Abby 3 Months Old
Abby will be three months old tomorrow. The time has gone by so quickly! She is really starting to come to life more and more. She is smiling more often and talking a ton. She loves to lay on the floor and coo at whatever is around her. At night, she usually sleeps around 7 hours, and her record is 9 1/2 hours. She seems to be a night owl as she has a hard time going to sleep at bedtime, which is quite the opposite of her brother. But, she sleeps in late in the mornings. Today she ate at 7:30 AM and then went back to sleep until 9:30. Abby's favorite place to be is on her changing pad. For some reason, she has always gotten really happy when we put her there. She looks at us and smiles and coos looking around like it is the most interesting place. I am loving being able to dress this baby girl. I ordered this dress from Nike before I knew if I was having a girl or a boy. It is a little big, but she is so cute in it! Below are two pictures of Caleb in his matching Nike shirt. I wanted a picture of the two of them together and offered Caleb some chocolate chips if he would hold Abby and smile, but he wanted nothing to do with it!

Saturday Night Fun
Mama bird was NOT happy with me, but I couldn't resist snapping a quick picture of these beautiful eggs. They are in a nest that is in one of our bushes. Spring is my favorite season. I love all of the new life in plants and animals. I get very excited when our trees and bushes start to bud. Every year, we have a least one set of baby birds born near our house. Sometimes we have multiple sets throughout the spring season. When Caleb was a newborn baby, I would lay him on the floor by the window and watch a group of baby birds whose nest was on the eave of our porch. I watched the mama bring food to them and could hear each of them chirping and cheeping for their buggy meal. It was amazing how quickly the birds grew, and then one by one they flew away and were gone. I so want to get out there and take more pictures, but I guess I'll leave these birds alone now, so that they have a chance to hatch and grow! As a mommy myself, I know mama bird will appreciate my restraint!
