Football!

Well it is that time of the year again... football season!

For us that means, getting our new Baylor t-shirts on, heading to eat in the Lettermen's lounge, and then trying to make it through as much of the game as possible!  This week we made it until halftime.  Around 8:00, when everyone is grumpy and tired, it is always time to go home and put everyone to bed!  I personally always feel a since of accomplishment in making it until halftime, but I think Jon feels disappointment in leaving early.

The kids each had their own take on the game.  editIMG_7121
Caleb repeatedly complained and whined through the entire first quarter because he wanted a snow cone.  We had promised to get him one after the first quarter, so we did follow through (despite his whining).  He was instantly a different child... happy, excited, and enjoyable.

Abby was sort of just taking it all in, and she was sure to not smile at anyone who said hi to her.  editIMG_7116
Luke loved it all.  He was clapping and smiling and yelling "go, go!"  One is a sweet age! editIMG_7128
I love having the opportunity to attend such major college football games with the kids.  I know that as time goes on, they are forming many cherished Baylor memories!  With Baylor's recent successes in Football and Basketball, it has gotten a lot of publicity nationally.  That makes it all the more fun for us!  Go Bears!

Abby's First Day!

Abby started her own little preschool class several weeks ago.  She is going two days a week for several hours each day.  She seems to enjoy having her own class to go to and loves getting to be dropped off and picked up at the church school like her brother was last year.  Here are some pictures of Abby's first day!

I love how much these expressions say about how she is feeling... proud, happy, and a little nervous. editIMG_0546 copy editIMG_0554

Abby and her new teachers. (I wish I would have snapped one more picture, since one of her teachers was blinking. But, I was trying to not be too annoying!)

And just for fun, a messy food picture of little Lukers, who has discovered a love for black beans and is insisting on feeding himself!  This boy is going to start his own little class next week (Mother's Day Out!), and I am greatly looking forward to that!
