Caleb was so proud to make a lego letter E, which was the letter of the week at preschool... Excellent job buddy!

The whole family together! My friend Jennifer (here is her Photography site) took these of us during a Christmas card shot. They will definitely be ones to hang on the walls- especially since there are so many rare pictures of the five of us! I love how much Caleb and Jon look alike in the second picture.

Luke and His Buddy

editIMG_0462
This is Kaiya and Luke hanging out together on the floor. She grabbed his face and did laps around him army crawl style. He just looked at her and watched it all. They are young, but they are bound to be buddies as their brother and sisters are. We love those Ecklund girls!

Thanksgiving 2011

We had a great time going to Sacramento for Thanksgiving this year. Here are a bunch of pictures of all of the fun (and CRAZINESS!).

Luke at 6.5 months

editIMG_0177
Time is flying by with three kids in the picture! Luke is 6 1/2 months old already! The past month has brought some fun milestones. He is sitting up, using the high chair, and loving his baby food. He eats a good amount of baby food three times a day and is still nursing a good amount. He still wakes up at night to eat- usually two times a night sometimes more. I am not thrilled about this, but he has definitely gotten more spoiled because of his cast and brace than the other two. Also he shares a room with Caleb, so "crying it out" just hasn't been something that we are up for yet. That said, he usually goes back to sleep pretty quickly after being fed!
editIMG_0204
Luke loves his momma. He was reaching out for me today while Daddy was holding him. He seems to convince the people in the nursery at church that he is hungry all of the time, but really I think that he just wants to be with me. Silly boy, doesn't he know that the third baby just can't be held all of time? Still it feels like that is all I ever am doing.

Luke got to go on a trip to Sacramento on the airplane this month... more on that in an upcoming post. Overall he did well on the plane; but, he did not want to go to sleep! No matter what we did he was awake on the flight despite his obvious exhaustion.

Luke got his cast off on Friday. His foot looks great, and we are super happy that he know only has to wear his brace at night. He is pushing up on his hands and knees and scooting backwards a ton. He seems to want to go forward but hasn't figured that out yet. I have a feeling that he will be an active boy when he does get to moving forward! We love our baby and look forward to then next half of his first year!

Luke's Surgery: A SUCCESS!

editIMG_0015

Luke had his surgery on his foot today. Praise God it he was well enough for them to do it, and that everything was a success. He will stay in a cast for a month, and then he should only have to wear his brace at night!

More of October... Candy Overload!

It seems like we just celebrate Halloween and Fall again and again and again this month. Caleb has had three Fall/ Halloween celebrations and Abby has had two. I am trying to pace myself with the candy, but that is so very difficult. If somehow we could just eliminate the hours from 1-4 from our day, it would be so much easier. Here are lots of pictures from all of our October fun.

I love this one because it is such a sincere smile on Caleb's face. He rarely smiles like that for a picture, and he doesn't hold Luke much. So when I gave him Luke to hold, he was just super excited and almost giddy. I love seeing this friendship and love that my kids (occasionally) show for one another!
