The months are flying past, and we've been busy this fall! The kids activities seemed to have multiplied this year with Luke being able to participate in sports, and we've had lots of overlapping practices/ school meetings/ dance classes. I suppose this will be our new normal over the elementary school years and up until our kids are driving themselves, so I am going to remind myself to enjoy these days! Here are some pictures of all of the fun (and craziness!).
Luke's preschool class went on a field trip to the Midway Ag Barn.

Luke also had a fun fall party at school. He dressed as a Baylor football player, which is his choice of clothing most days!
The kids trick or treated at Baylor on Halloween and got way too much candy. We also attended the Fall Festival at our church. By the actual night of Halloween, we decided to carve our pumpkin and just stay home!
Abby sang in church with the children's choir several Sundays ago. Her best school friend, Addison, has joined her for choir this semester and is standing beside her. These girls are two skinny little blondies. Addison lives on our street, and I am so happy that she and Abby have been in the same class for two years now. They have fun playing together at recess with the most frequent themes being kitten family, school, spies, and babies.
Luke's soccer team had a great season. They were actually pretty good little players! They won lots of games, and Luke was sure to keep track of those wins despite the fact that the league does not keep score! It was so fun to see how competitive Luke was and to watch him score goals! The best part was playing with friends Kaiya, Hailey, Knox, and our new friend Mason, who happens to go to church with us too.
Caleb had a school performance in October. As I mentioned above, singing is not Caleb's thing, and he has never had a speaking part in a school performance. You can see his enthusiasm in the picture below. Therefore I assumed that he did not have a line this year either. I was shocked when Abby watched the performance during the school day and then informed me with excitement that Caleb had a speaking part! Caleb had never told me about it, but he did great without any practice. His line was "In the early 19th century, city people lived in long skinny houses known as row homes."
Abby will always be my subject when I am checking lighting before a performance.
We also enjoyed a fun visit from Mike, Tiffany, and Benjamin several weeks ago. It was a super soggy weekend, but we braved the wet football game and spent the rest of the weekend enjoying time together.
Here is Abby on Dress Like a Rockstar Day.
Last here is a picture of my boys! I love these sorts of pictures the most. They show our everyday life, and life is so good!
