Thanksgiving in Waco with the Caprons

We got to celebrate Thanksgiving here in Waco this year with Jon's brother and his family and with Tim and Rhonda Capron.  In documenting the week with family, I have to start by mentioning that I ended up being very sick that week.  I kept thinking I was getting better only to have a fever return day after day.  I ended up in urgent care with pneumonia and strep.  I think that I had probably had the flu too.  I learned to be VERY thankful for good antibiotics during that week!  The family took over and made Thanksgiving dinner and other meals for us.  They also managed to be sweet about having to listen to my coughing all week long.  I haven't been that sick in a very long time. It was a good exercise for me in not being able to always have control in a situation!

Now on to the fun stuff.  I still managed to take some pictures of the different things we did together!
The boys and dads went to a rainy Baylor game.  They had a great time!

Abby and Sarah got to sit at their own special table for Thanksgiving dinner.  They loved getting to decorate the windows with turkeys!

Caleb's Baptism

Caleb was baptized on November 23, 2014 at our church.  After my mom died in 2010, Caleb began asking me many questions about heaven and about God and Jesus.  One morning, he woke up and told me that he had asked Jesus into his heart the night before.  I failed to mark this day down (I'll blame that on my own grief process and on being very pregnant), but Caleb has been insistent since then that Jesus is in his heart and that he will go to heaven someday.  He was four years old when this all took place.  We are so thankful that Caleb is our son and our brother in Christ.  I will always look back on my mom's death as a huge part of what opened the door for Caleb to begin to understand salvation.  We thank Jesus that He has paid the price for our sins and that someday there will be a most beautiful reunion with Christ and with those who have gone before us.
