Back to School for Me!
Well yesterday, I officially registered for 2 graduate classes at Baylor. I will be going back in the fall to get a graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction. We will see how this works with having Caleb to "help" me with my homework! I am excited about it, but I think it will be a little strange to be back on Baylor's campus as a student again. I surely won't be wearing those short mini jean skirts that all the cute Baylor girls wear, but maybe I can get a clue on the newest fashions by observing them. Yesterday, we were on campus, and it seemed like 2/3 of the girls were wearing Nike shorts and t-shirts to class! I could definitely get my hands on some Nike shorts, but I never really liked that just rolled out of bed and came to class look. I am laughing at myself that the post about me going to back to school has been mostly about what I will wear! Anyways, whether in fashion or not, come this fall, I will be a student again!

We celebrated Caleb's 1st birthday party on Saturday night. We had a great time. Caleb loved having friends and family come over to watch him play, eat cake, and open presents. This boy loves to be the center of attention. He is not at all shy, which is a lot like Jon and Jon's mom! We really should have taken a moment at the party to take a family picture, but we never did.
Here is a picture of the smash cake that Caleb got to eat. He absolutely loved it! He ate a LOT!!! You can see him eating it in the pictures below. The last one is blurry, but I thought everyone would smile at what Caleb did when I decided that he had eaten plenty of cake. We all, house guests included, had an interesting night after all that cake eating! Caleb woke up and "sang" for us a good part of the wee hours of the morning. Overall, it was delightful celebration!

Tagged for the First Time
My friend, Kate, tagged me all the way from England. Here are the questions and answers:
1) What are some of your preferences that have changed since you were young?
Hmmm... When I was four, I quit ballet class b/c the floor smelled bad. When I was in fifth grade, I quit jazz class b/c I didn't want to shake my behind! But, now we have lots of dance parties! This is a lame answer to that question, but I can't think of much!
2) Rank the seasons in the order you like them most.
Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall (We virtually have no Fall here in Waco, so that is why it is last. If we did have a fall that didn't involve 90 degree temperatures, my order would probably be different. Spring is first b/c recently I have come to get so excited when our trees and bushes start to sprout new leaves. Also we always have birds build nests on our porch. I love watching for the baby chicks to be born.)
3) If you could only live in one city for the rest of your life, which one would it be? And if you could only live in one country (besides the USA) for the rest of your life, and never go anywhere else, where would it be?
This one is hard too. City-I think I would have to pick ABQ b/c of family and b/c of that great New Mexican food. How could I live the rest of my life without those two things?! Country- ummm I don't know- I will have to ask Jon's opinion on that one!
I tag Jennifer T., Brooke, Emily, and EJ.

Zoo time!
Its hard to get any good pictures with Caleb crawling all over the place. Usually I have 1 of 20 that is okay! Here are some of him and his friend Aiden at the zoo.

A New Tooth
Our Little Fish!
Yesterday, we took Caleb to the Baylor pool. At first, he seemed overwhelmed by all the interesting things around him, but he really enjoyed it. He practiced kicking and loved splashing with his hands. He went under the water several times and did fine with it. We want to teach him to blow bubbles, so Jon and I blew LOTS of bubbles. Caleb just kept on splashing!

Ok so it's March and the pink had gone on long enough
Levi just won the Tour of California, might as well let him in the tour, everyone else is back in. He has my vote, but you would think that Astana would at least change their name to sever ties with what happened last year. Anyone else think he looks a little like Eric?
